well here goes... ive tried numerous times to change my ROM using ecuflash to either change my Valet Rev Limit or to activate the Valet Mode on key start with no success:unsure:

The way i do it is open my ROM in ecuflash --> mod --> tephra mod options --> then change the "0" next to enable auto-valet on fresh ignition to "1".

The way i change the values is to open notepad type in the value and copy and paste it into ecuflash.

I would also do the same thing in the Valet Rev limit field to adjust the idle say to 1996 so it idles but is on limp mode (im taking it to a shop to get something fixed and i dont want them to thrash it)

I would then save the new ROM as a hex file. My problem is...... this is not updating in my car and when opening the ROM in ecuflash in the "task info" section it reads 90550001 (115 tables) inheriting evo7base (81 tables)

whenever i open other roms change by other people for me it never has this. I dont want to have to keep asking cossie and BarryC to update my roms all the time.

so please people what am i doing wrong. :confused1::confused1:

You need to open the ROM in ECUFlash and then click on the value that you want to change and then type '= xxxx' where xxxx is the value you want to enter.

You then have to flash the ROM onto your car for it to take effect.

As andy says, you edit the value in ecuflash, not notepad.

ok i have done the above apart from uploading... so it still comes up with

90550001 (115 tables) inheriting evo7base (81 tables)

is this normal?
