Hello There!

Just to say ive notice on mlr alot of mapping and ecu talk so as im into computers some what (Dell employee) i fancy learning more about this topic.

As above im very interested in starting as an interested party in ECU mapping and just want to know the equipment ill need.

Ive a gd fats laptop so thats a start and also an EVO 5 gsr so another get piece of kit mainly needed!

Hi mate,

You'l need...

*Limitless or Taxtrix cable (available through Grant620 on the MLR)
*Ecuflash software (link on here in the download section i think)
*Evoscan or Mitsulogger Software (If not on here then go to openecu.org.)
*And im pretty sure youl need an Evo 7 ECU as the 5 cant be flashed or has limited roms available (one or the other)

Ecuflash and Mitsulogger are free. Youl have to pay for Evoscan though.

Im sure there is a 'how to' on changing your ECU over for a 7 on the MLR.

Hope this info keeps you going until someone who actually knows what they're talking about comes along! :lol: :smile:

Spot on there wullie! Will get sourcing these parts!

Im guessing a new fuel pump is another mod that helps?
Will be getting this asap.

Fuel Pump will keep you safe as the standard one will struggle when you start to up the power. Give Indigo Gt a shout. They've got a good price on new Walbro's. :thumbup1:

Ecuflash will now flash E5 and E6!!!!

you need a openport 2.0 cable
