ecuflash 1.42 problem

Tried ecuflash 1.42 today on my 6 with a 1.3 cable ( i use this all the time for logging on Evoscan ) first thing i noticed was no front screen like on 1.33 telling me to plug in a cable and turn on engine. Told it to read the rom, it fails says it cannot connect after a string of lines.
So tried it on version1.33 same frontscreen as usual telling me to put in cable and turn on, then it read the rom followed by a message which said it was succesfull, tried to save it and it said unrecognised file type. WHat !!!!.

yes i did have both connectors together.

any ideas.

I think you can only flash EVO V/VI with Openport 2.0 cable.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have a Evo VI also and I have to use OpenPort 2.0.

Ok thanks, I thought you could read from a 5 or 6 with a 1.3 cable but not write. Funny how 1.42 behaves differently though.
I have a 2.0 cable on the way so will be able to try that later.
