If you want to run 15s in the low load/low rev areas, I can't figure out how to switch in and out of closed loop. I've looked in fuel on my map & it has a few "loop" options that can be adjusted.. I think i need to adjust "open loop throttle low load"?? When in open loop for cruise How lean can you go i'm on 97 fuel?
Thanks

you could run open loop constantly and run low 15s/16s afr.you could just raise the closed loop min temp way above any temp it will ever get to in ecuflash and the car will never see closed loop.there may be another way though.

I've got a strange one at the moment. With my current map I used to be able to idle in the high 16s (made for a nice lope) and was cruising (i.e. low load) at high 15s and low 16s. Did this by adjusting the low end of the map. Recently I disabled closed loop while playing around with the car. Not sure if this is related though but now when I idle it seems to stick around 14.5-14.7 (i.e. acting like it's in open loop). When I'm cruising around I think the AFRs are the same as before. Any ideas why this could be happening?
Might try enabling closed loop again and see if it affects my idle.

Let me have a look back over the code again Dave,
Which bits did I tell you to change to disable the closed loop running and I'll have a look and see if there are any over-rides to the code that I've missed.
Cheers

You said change the code at 1650 from 26 to 20 to disable closed loop. Have attached my current bin file too.
Can't remember if this has always happened too but when I let off the gas from part throttle and go into neutral, it goes rich for just a second or 2, as if the BOV wasn't recirculating or something. It then recovers and acts normal again.

The rich on lift off is meant to happen. There is a deceleration enrichment routine built into the code that adds in a little bit of extra fuel on deceleration (it's also useful for pops and bangs  )
Will have a look through the code this evening and let you know. I have a feeling there might be another place we need to change.
Cheers

Thanks man. I appreciate you having another look at it. As I said, cruising it's fine but at idle it seems to want to cling to stoich.
I know you like the bangs and I might go back to them every once in a while but I know they ain't good for the turbo and Garrett stuff is like bone china!

I've got them on my switchable map ;) ;) (that's something else I need to finalise but I think it's sorted out now) so they don't need to be on all the time but I can flick them on when I want to scare people etc

Andy, did you have any luck finding more code that would disable closed loop? Just wondered if you'd had the time.

Only had a very quick look through a few weeks ago and there are a few more changes possible Dave.
I'll have a more thorough look this weekend and get back to you but yes, there will be more changes needed.
