I am mapping a EVO 5, is there anyway to get ecu flash to trace the current active cells ?

Nope, there is no live map tracing available for the stock ECU.

im guessing ecutek supports it though?

I saw a post by you last year about doing map tracing with evo scan... How did you go with it ?
Does it give you the same map format as ecu flash ? got any links for guides on how to set it up and get it working?
New to the evo stuff, have allways been lucky with live mapping on the cars i dyno tune.
cheers

No, never got it working. Map tracing does not work in EvoScan with Evo 5/6 ECU logs. Only works with Evo 7 onwards.
There is a map tracer excel file going about. Will see if I can find it, but I'm sure starkers or sponners posted it up here in the general section.

I see...
Cheers for that info...
I have stumbled across the excel spread sheet already.. Was hoping i did not have to use it.. Seems to be the only way....
I may not need map tracing anyway once i spend a bit of time with evo scan a bit i should be able to pin point where we are going anyway.
cheers for you help - thanks for clearing this up for me.
ps - know anything about re-flashing evo 4 ? i heard somewhere you can move the ecu to a evo 5 and flash is there then move it back to test? (do not ask me where i read this :)

Evo 4 ECU can not be mapped, need to use an Evo 5 - 8 ECU. Evo 5/6 ECU would be easiest and cheapest.

Map tracer will work on the 6 with beta v2.7, it didn't work on 2.6.
I emailed evoscan support and they sent me 2.7, works a treat, even better with the new 2 byte mod.

Nope, have they sky rocketed since Ceddy released his mod? lol

Ah, I have 2.7, but not tried map tracing on it. 2 byte mod?? Thought Ceddy only added 1-byte?? Or is this a different mod?

Ouch! I remember seeing them for about £60 - £70! Any links to the 2-byte for Evo 5/6 ECU's?? Must have missed that.

have you seen the price of these now? :lol:The price is even better when I look in my garage at home and see how many cheap 'non-flashable' TME ECU's I bought

What do you want to know about the Ostrich?
Flightless bird that can run bloody quick :D
Andy
P.S. Should hopefully be able to get SD on the Ostrich soon as well with thanks to Ceddy for sending me the DSM H8 code that I should be able to port acrodd to the early evo code.
