im new to this mapping etc iv been doing alot of reading on here and other sites, but i need alot of help with every thing .
you can take it that i know nutting
i will try post all my questions here
sorry there is going to be alot lol

so far iv got the rom off the car its 9055001 its a ralliart ecu in a evo7gsr jdm

iv been reading about the TephraMod
and i like flashing CEL on Knock

so may first question can i get the tephra mod etc for my car ?
if so what do i need to do to get it
or will the car need to be mapped if i do the mod

you already have made the first step by downloading your existing rom and saving it.
Next you open the rom i posted up and look at the tephra rom options and set them to the values iv posted up.

Remove your original 90550001 XML and store it on your desktop then place the one I posted where your original was

you need to put the xml in the rommetdata file in ecuflash , so first close ecuflash then go to my computer / then drive C:/then programme files /openecu/ecuflash/rommetdata/mitsubishi/evo then open that in there you will find the evo xml,s you now need to remove the original 90550001 xml and put in the new 90550001 xml . then try open the new rom all should be revealed :smile:

thanks lads . todd, did that there and worked. put the setting that john put up too and saved it

next question is i have removed the egr , evap etc and would like to get rid of the fuel pressure solenoid too

i still have one of the solenoid plug in as it was putting up a cel on the last rom i had, i dont recall the code

can some one give me a step by step guide on how to disabling all 3 solenoids

iv just up load the TephraMod rom 9055001 for my car

and will the fuel presure solenoid make the car do any think mad
i read its just for cold start thats it

right so got in the car to go to work today and the engine light was on
the code is P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction
the egr is remove from my car this was not happening with the old rom

then this code P0403 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Malfunction
with the solenoid un pluged


there was no code for the fuel pressure solenoid when i un pluged it :confused1: any one know why ??

try 8889 in the ecu periphery 2 , highlight whats in the box ,click = ,in the box type 0x8889 and hit enter then flash it back
ps 0 is zero

i can see periphery in any of the drop down lists in ecu flash with my rom
were is it located ?

usually 2nd last item just after idle maybe user level is set to beginner ,, click file top left in the dropdown click options then scroll down to user level

i only remove the egr today as it was just plug in and tied up so the light would go out.

the fuel solenoid is still on the car i can get a pic of it if you need it ?
have you any info on what its on the car for ?

iv been trying to find out about valet mode but there not much info about it
bar this.
Valet Mode
- customisable RPM limit
- autovalet on fresh ignition (ie if you leave the car and come back it will auto valet, as opposed to returning to the previous state you left the car in)
- NOT able to co-exist with TPS based map switching
- CEL will fast flash on ignition if valet is enabled


so my next question is can i get this on my rom i cant see a drop down box
but there is a few options in my rom see the pic maybe im way out ?
how does it work etc

so i was out playing with the valet mode today
nice little mod :rolleyes:

was looking at the nlts
i set the rpm drop to 1500. tps to95 . speed to 30kmh .
the load was at 150 i did not change it
when i went to test it at about 4k wot i hit some thing like fuel cut
so i stop and turned it off and the car was back the way it was

im i right in thinking the load is to low ?
what / how do i set it up

NLTS TPS Threshold - What TPS is required for NLTS to activate the revlimit
NLTS Speed Threshold - What is the minimum speed you must be travelling at to enable NLTS - basically allows you to slip the clutch on launch
NLTS Load Threshold - What is the minimum load for NLTS to activate

was trying to test it on my lunch , in lunch time traffic was fun lol

hi all
im having some cold start problems the car drive fine just it revs to 2.3rpm
and the odd time up3k for afew sec when cold only
but mostly around the 2k+ mark , if i drive for say 2 to 3mins the car will drop to the lower 1k mark then drives fine as normal

this only happend after i removed the egr, charcoal canister etc from the car

any one have this problem ? or can help

As you've been playing with the vacuum lines from the TB, park the stepper motor and see what it idles at.

so il start the car go in to evoscan and press the sas button
then see what it idles like
is that what you mean by parking it ?

Yes, it's mislabelled in the old versions as SAS.

was out playing with there
when i pressed the sas button with the engine hot it cut out
so i played with the adjustment screw with the with the sas on
till i got it to idel around 850 then press the sas off its ideling around 950
un done the battery and let idel for few mins

i will have to come back to the car later when its coldand see if it work

right so was looking at my rom and it has a 2nd map on it
can some one tell me how it works etc or what map it is
and is there a pops and bangs that i can just load up thats safe ?

i have no sas in the exhaust mani any more will this need to be truned off some were in the rom ? is ALS in the rom the sas?

Forget the both sets of Low Octane maps and leave them as they are. Have a look at the changes I've made in the Tephra mod options, second map is accessed by holding the ICS switch in the auto position for 1.5 seconds, just press the button quickly again to take auto ICS spray off.

im i right in saying when the ics light is flashing when the 2nd map is on
and how do you change back to the 1st map

was looking at the option enable map averaging
what does this do ?
