Wanted to open the E5/6 RA map but it's in something called Hex.
Where can I get the necessary software to do this?
Bearing in mind I'm useless on computers. :blushing:

Have you installed the ecuflash software?

Haha I'm still getting to grips with it myself.
Have you saved your RA map in a dedicated folder?
I have my Maps saved in folder named "EVO roms" on my desktop.

I've had a look everywhere but I can't find it. I'll try again and do as you suggested.

Have you saved the RA rom to an easy to find folder?

I can see it in my docs. as a zipped folder marked evo. when ecuflash tries to open it it says rom format not recognised.

Ok, have you unzipped it yet? You will need to extract it to the folder you want it in i.e. "evo roms" or something similar

Another headache.

Nice one mate. Just a bit of practice.
What cable are you getting mate? Need the OP2 to flash to V/VI ecu.
You will be able to flash the RA rom to your ecu, but it is advisable to get your fuelling checked. Easiest way would be to get a power run on a dyno.

Haven't got a cable yet but I'm on the lookout. I've got a wideband afr fitted plus boost gauge, and some home made det. cans.
When I get a cable how does it work?
Sorry for all the questions/ :blushing:

You will need a tactrix OP2 cable to flash the ecu on the V/VI. Grants260 on the MLR does them.
I haven't received my cable yet, so haven't got that far yet haha.
There is guide on here in the " how to" section of the forum.

Thanks Stu, I've pm'd Grant about a cable.
Do you know how costly they are?

£165rrp is the price that grant quoted on the MLR group buy.
