Sounds like your copy of winrar is corrupt.

Un-install it and re-install

Just tried that and got this:
! C:\Users\stu\Desktop\Evo 6 GSR.zip: The archive is either in unknown format or damaged

I have managed to download the mines, VI ra and other roms. But no joy with this one?

Hi everybody, I am from Costa Rica and recently bought my E6 GSR from japan, I am looking for a good reflash, the mods that I have are: 3" inch exhaust without restrictions with aftermarket turbo outlet, walbro fuel pump, HKS air filter intake. I will need someone to help me out chosing a good reflash, I want a good reflash with launch control, 8000 rpm red line, no speed limit and a good maps to make more power, all in safe mode. Thanks and I'm very happy to be part of this great community.

Do you have a wideband, Open Port 2.0 cable & logging software? If so, I would suggest learning to map yourself if there is no-one near by, if not, I would get a tuner to map it, reason being, without a wideband, OP 2.0 & logging software, you can't tell if the car is knocking, running lean, etc.

The entire map would be guesswork, which is not good. Not really possible to give a "safe" map over the net, because even if the timing is conservative, and the fueling is set rich, the car might still be detting it's head off or running lean (or both) due to some other reason.

Thanks hernaN for your reply, I am completly agree with you, but I will like some rom that improve the original in some thinks, like the fuel consuption, ignition, launch control and others, something better that the stock rom of my E6.

I think that this community is excellent and there must be some ROM that fits what I'm looking for. thanks very much for any help. :thumbup1:

Take the RalliArt ROM and set your boost to no higher than 1.3 bar.

This has been sold by RalliArt a billion times and is quite safe.

This has been sold by RalliArt a billion times and is quite safe.

It's probably quite safe when you have a Ralliart panel filter & exhaust, but that's it. With an induction kit, it will alter the way the MAF "sees" the air coming in, which will in turn alter how much fuel need to be put into the map in order to get the correct AFR's out the back.

My car and MANY other Evo 5/6's have ran too lean with the Ralliart map. No matter what you do, you will need to check the fueling & knock. Unless of course you leave the fueling alone. However, you will still need to check for knock.

The only real safe thing would be to copy the Ralliart high octane ignition table into your current ROM. At the very minimum you will need an Open Port 2.0 cable to flash the ROM onto the car, and EvoScan to check if any knock is being picked up by the sensor (det-cans would be a better option if you have them, but if not, EvoScan will do).

So if you already have an Open Port 2.0 cable and EvoScan, you might as well just buy a wideband and give it a custom map. Without a wideband, DO NOT touch your fueling tables, because you will have no way of telling how that is affecting the car.

Really, what would you rather do, spend £165 on an Open Port 2.0, £17 on EvoScan and £200 on a wideband, or risk killing your engine from running too rich/lean or too much knock??

Personally, I would rather spend the £382 and know my car is running right, instead of playing russian roulette with my engine, which will cost A LOT more than £382 to fix if it dies because the map was causing it to run incorrectly.

Hi, Is this the std hex file from the 6 gsr - or modified at all. Just looking for a standard one, to compare against the one already on my ecu to see if mines been altered.
