What WB O2 are you using, and do you have the latest firmware flashed to it? Also are you connecting through a USB to serial cable?

Lc1. yes latest FW. usb to serial adaptor yes.
but it works flawlessly with logworks using same usb-serial.
i only logged 4 items to in evoscan see if it was that but no!

just resolved this too.
its because the refresh rate of Lc1 is less than mut (so i'm told)
thats why it was worse with less ecu items logged because the speed gap got bigger

Depends if you are logging MUT or OBD.

i wonder if the laptop is under the cosh?
do you think running evoscan and both usb's is resource hungry?

This could be why my laptop keeps dropping the LC-1 signal when logging with Evoscan.
I use XP, with a serial adaptor to USB and the Tactrix cable to another USB port.

i'm confident its that as it was fine a few months back the laptop has been on the net with the kids installing all kinds of crap so its prob due for a format.
there is a cheat tho rob that works perfect.
if you have some dropped logs i.e 4 logs miss 1 then a simple macro in excel can fill in the gaps with an average of the value above and below the empty cell

built a laptop yesterday with nothing but ECUFlash and EVOScan.
Every 3rd cell in Excel is missing in the log for wideband. The laptop is using a serial to USB connector.
I've not checked log works yet. Could it be down to the laptop hardware, Processor speed, Memory .etc
I was planing on monitoring the USB packets and see if having 2 USB connected devices can cause the problem.
Graham how do you choose logging between MUT and OBD?

I did one yesterday and it was fine
Using XP, LC-1 wideband via serial-USB convertor and also evoscan

I had never noticed gaps before. But I have a serial connector on my laptop. Just peed me of a little that I had rebuilt someones laptop and handed it back to them and it they had this problem. just wanted to find a fix for it so I can apply it before handing the laptop back.

yes it works if you do that

That could be because the logging intervals went up, have you checked the timestamps between the logs?

The sample rate of the software is over the interface speed when using serial connections, and only logging a few items in the software.

The other thing I've noticed is that it will leave gaps in the log if the wideband goes 'out of range'.
