Reading another thread on the MLR, Graham mentioned that hardwiring the Walbro could increase its whine at idle.
Is there anyway to compensate for the additional voltage it sees at low rpm using ECUFlash to get it back to normal levels?:confused1:

no. hard wiring only the 2 stage is the only way

So if the pump is whining more at idle, presumably the motor is pumping more fuel? :confused1:
If that logic holds true, can you adjust the fuel map/target idle and reduce the whine indirectly?

its just flowing more past the injectors thats all. the injectors only use how much fuel they need the excess gets dumped back to fuel tank.
