Ecuflash & Evoscan on JDM TME

Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I've heard only recently that you can flash evo 6's & TMEs as well. I know its been out for a while now, but I've only just started getting into basic tuning myself. This is actually regarding my mates car.
Could someone please tell me the process of getting ECU flash to read the JDM TME rom. I've got OP 2.0 cable, ecuflash 1.43 & evoscan 2.8. It just does not want to read the ecu. It tries for a split second and then throws an error code up. Any ideas?

Also, does anybody know where I can get an xml file for a JDM TME?

You need to connect the black flash plug to the white flash plug that is tucked up under the dash just above the OBD port, then you will be able read the ecu.

You will also need to take a look at the ECU board to see what processor is on the board it should read either MH7202 or the MH7203, if its the MH7023 type you then need to go in the rom data file find the XML and then open it in word and change the memmodel to FA
You will be able to download the file and save it even if you dont have the right XML, when you have downloaded and saved it post up the rom and someone will post the right XML for you.

Ah ok I see. Thanks for that. I'll try look for this white plug above the obd port.

Also where would I exactly find the processor reading? On ecuflash rom or the actual ecu itself?
