Not long registered, owned my Evo V for about a month now and trying to learn everything i possibly can about self mapping, maintaining etc.

So far changed all the diff oils, cambelt, AYC, full service and cleaned the whole car up.

Love every minute of it so far, im now ready to go to the next level and squeeze some more power out of her.

So far i have air filter, Blitz nurspec, decat, 3" downpipe, 255 fuelpump and HKS BOV and greddy boost guage.

At the moment im presuming its running std power ish as it seems to be boosting to 0.9 and peaking at 1.0 ish.

Im looking at getting reliable power would like around 330+ if possbile.

Can anyone help me out on what i need to do next.

Ive downloaded ECU flash, and am looking at ordered the cable soon.

Any help will be appeciated.

Welcome Matt,

Where are you in the UK as I am sure I have seen your plate before.

You will also need some logging software as well evoscan is very good for logging.

Read as much as you can as this will help loads if and when you come to play with your car.

if i load the ralliart map onto my ecu will that automatically adjust boost limits and pressures or will i need to manually increase the boost.

Thanks in advance
Matt

The Ralliart upgrade on a VII uses a different restrictor in the boost control system near the actuator, I assume the V would be the same. I think some sort of after market boost control system or a 3 port controled by the ECU is the best way to go. That cable would be fine, but you my fined sourcing one from the UK works out cheaper.

just out of interest, dont suppose there is anyone in the midlands area that is willing to load a ralliart map onto my V, obviously i would be willing to pay for your time inconvienience.

Just i dont really trust myself, i will have more confident if i watch some1 else do it.

THanks
Matt

3 port solenoids need a little fiddling on the V and VI, as they are not a direct fit.

Do you mean the physical mounting of them?

No the actual operation of the solenoid, tried a perrin one on a VI and it did not like it. Like some of the other solenoids you can use on later cars, a resistor may have to be used.

Do you mean the physical mounting of them?
