Anyone help me with adding the tephra mods to my evo 8 ecu. I have attached my current rom from ecu. Timing+fuel maps are stock. I have ordered a lm2 wideband kit so once I get that i'd like to try raise the boost up a little and tweak the fuel maps.
Any help would be greatly appreciated:smile:

Is this the webpage

I'm a little confused about which rom I should use? My rom ID is 93660005 so which tephra rom is appropriate for me to use? And sorry if this is very basic stuff i'm very new to all this and don't want to brick my ecu or something by uploading the wrong rom. Thanks:thumbup1:

Ok I used rom 96530706. I have scaled the load axis 0-290 load that should cover me up to around 1.8bar correct? I'm yet to sort the fuel table but I have done the ignition tables, if someone could take a look at those for me to make sure i'm going about this the right way before I spend ages inputting the fuel table:lol:

You can use the big map translator for Excel / Openoffice to convert your old maps.
I woudn't bother changing the scaling in Tehphra big maps unless you need higher loads than 350. Still plenty of resolution if your car don't go that high.

Does someone have seen smoothness increase by using big map with circa 400 bhp ?
Sounds like overkill to me on most setup... Plus you still can't use more than 1° resolution.

Yes the bigmaps can be a pain at times.
If using purely for other features I've contemplated re-scaling bigmaps to mimic the OEM scaling.

Oh really? can you send me link to down load the map translator.
I already done the fuel table last night. See screen shot below, does everything look ok to you? I scaled it 0-290(increments of 10) I also scaled the rpm for better resolution.

Also can anyone confirm i'm using the correct rom for my car before I attempt to upload it?
The injector scaling was off in the rom I am trying to use so I changed that to 542 which was in my rom that I pulled off ecu. Is watching short term fuel trims best way to determine if the scaling is correct?

As far as I know 96530706 works in all Evo 8 ECUs and is well supported so that's what I have chosen as well for my conversion where I'm using 8 MR 3-plug ECU in earlier car. I translated the maps, copied my other settings and maps from Evo 5-6 CeddyMods rom and my car was idling with pretty much perfect fuel trims, just as it did with Evo 5-6 ECU. Haven't driven it yet.

Thanks anttist. Are all Evo 8 maf's the same? Just wondering if I need to change anything else bar fuel+ignition tables+ injector scaling and battery table
