the link is great... but if Im using the regular E6 ECU or the E7 RA one the pins are a bit different...
in the E8 if I am not mistaken
26 not connected to anything
42 is the +5v ref
82 is not connected

if lets say im using the 7RA should i connect
instead of the 26 i use 16 or 20
instead of 42 i use 81?

if i understood the concept right my suggestions should be right on?!?!?!?!
and if i want to use the ICS i connect it to 91? or 35?....
my questions are based on the assumption that the 7RA ecu is similar to the regular 7 pins???

don't work on a 6 ecu because it's need a tephra patch!

You need to be looking at the E8 260 ECU pinout and not the std 3 plug E8 in which case:

26 is ground
42 is not used
and 82 is switched ignition supply

and you use exactly the same pins on the E7 ECU.

Why not just take the 5 volt sensor supply from pin 81 through a switch to pin 42, much simpler.

No idea Kes,
I believe that it's 3V needed for the swtich output though but surely that could be done with just a simple resistor???

ok so i wnt be using it on the E6, but rather on the E7 RA, with exactly the same pins listed in the link and will let you know if it will work....
thanks Andy

PS i was comparing the pins from the ones i got from over here or lancer register ...im not sure ...but now i understand that there is a difference between them

It's an ADC input from what I understand, so should be fine with 5 volt, in fact the wiring diagram I saw for the map switch harness had a 5 volt zener diode on it, so 5 volt is fine! The map switch harness just gives you an LED indicator
