Help - ive dowlaoded this from ECU

As above ive dowloaded this and have not logged anything yet not to sure how too

i have compared this to the standard gsr dowlaod on here and looks very similar

need help on what i should do know compared to some others i have seen there seems to be very limited selection in the bottom left screen, maps etc

any help appreciated

there is not as many features on the 5 + 6 rom compared to 7,8and 9.all you need for tuning yours is there.

ive noticed that i dont have atab for knock how do i log the levels? do i need evo scan?

ive read alot about not touching the low octane maps just the high octane and timing .....

how do altere boost with in the ecu can this be done on 5/6 ECU

how do altere boost with in the ecu can this be done on 5/6 ECUlogging is only done through evoscan.ecuflash alters the maps etc.you can alter the boost through the ecu although most get an aftermarket controller.

My advice would be to do a lot of logging and try and understand how you car is behaving first. Correct flashing for the V and VI is not on general release yet.
Also forget just turning up boost(until later anyway), it's not the way to go about mapping/tuning:smile:

do i need evoscan for logging? which i think i do where can i get it from was looking in the downlaod section with no joy

ii was asking bout boost as i wasnt sure wether to purchase a boost controller or not for later on in the upgrades to the car.

so can i not flash my ECU yet?

im a complete nocis and trying to get my head around everything... the next step for me is trying to take some logs and to understand them but dont really know where to start :confused1:
