Hello,
A friend has an E7 GTA which he bought accident damaged (front left smack), its been nicely repaired but now its running major rich.
Ive got an LM1 which reads 14.7 at idle and very light throttle but as soon as and you touch the throttle any more the afr shoots down below 10:1 at any throttle position with higher revs hitting almost in the 8's. This happens all the time.
The only problem i have found with the car is that the MAF honey combe (spelling) has a big dent in it directly in line with the hot wire assembly inside. Could this cause the problem hes having due to disrupted air flow? If so can you remove it to eliminate this problem or is it time for a new air flow meter?
If my idea is B.S. any other ideas?
Mikey
