Im interested in self tuning my evo 6 to around 400/400

ive had my new car 5 days now and needs to be quicker!!!

the car already has

walbro pump
3" exhaust system with decat
hard pipes
ralliart ecu

i dont want to throw loads of money at the car like my last 2 evos:eek:

what else do i need to get this figure??

will the standard intercooler be ok??

any help to get my bits together will be great.

thanks shaun

adjustable FPR
272 cams

im unsure if the ralliart ecu can be reflashed so you may need to change it.

400/400 is pushing the VI internals a lot, 375/360 is far more realistic.

hi gray,i used to run 381 on my old 5 with an autronic at 1.8 bar boost, but that was 4 years ago!!

id run upto around 380 and see what happens!!!

please give me a list of what you think i will need.

can we do anything with the ralliart ecu?or do i need to get a v11 ecu?

thanks shaun

You can flash the Ralliart ECU Shaun but tbh you're better off selling it on the MLR and then buying a std ECU cheap and flashing that. That way you make a bit of cash to help fund your modding addiction ;)

For 380ish the std injectors should be OK with a tweak of the fuel pressure, std turbo again should be fine but you'll need a boost controller.

The VII ECU can run the modified Tephra roms which enables things like switchable map, valet mode, CEL flash on knock etc, apart from that both ECU's are just as capable of running the car.

thanks gray,il get a standard 6 ecu then.

ecu's and mapping arent my strong point!!

engine building and hardware im fine with but not the software!!!

once i get my standard 6 ecu, what do i get next to get my 370-380 bhp?

thanks shaun

Grant620 will supply you a good deal on an Innovate LC-1 wideband sensor and gauge to keep an eye on your fuelling. He will also do you a good deal on an Openport2.0 cable so you can reflash and datalog etc.

Something like the Innovate LC1 is good for logging using Evoscan, you also require a tactrix cable. If you check the hardware section out there is a post or 2 of people offering hardware. Grant620 from the MLR, Dave @ R-Spec to name a couple.
