Hi all sory to say but i have sold my e3 and gone to the dark side and got an r32 skyline gtst, basicly as with the early evos theres not much in the way of mapping them other that removing and replacing different roms, daughter bords and stand alone ecus. but as it has a 28 pin chip much like the earlys im going to try the ostrich route as i did on my e3. Unfortanatly there is not much in the way of defonition files for these cars. I have searched and searched and can only find 1 .xdf but when loaded to tune pro with a bin file ( which i can find plenty of for the r32 rb20 gtst which i have ) it does not make any sense i belive the conversion factors are all incorect. Has any one had any experiance with mapping the skylines or could some one have a mooch at my .xdf and .bin to see if you can make any scense out of it cheers very much in advance for any advice and help ive atached my .xdf and a .bin cheers

Tom,
Do you know what processor they run as ideally I could do with the entry vectors for the ecu to get some basic disassembly.

Andyit seems they run a hitachi processor.ida pro does not list it.

Well you'll be pleased to know that I've found a code seeking disassembler for it now so I'll see what I can sort out in the next few days for you.

Can't promise anything though but I'll have a look.

If you just want a sneak peek....

Main Fuel & Ignition screendumps attached.

EDIT: Haven't done too much digging as of yet, but it appears your knock timing map is identical to the main timing map, yet your knock fuel map is different??

Haven't looked at anymore just yet though to see if this is the usual case with the R32s, as I have to go out in a minute...

Hi there i can open the files with my .adr defonition file for the r32 in live edit software but the software just keeps crashing and .adr file wont work with tune pro so i was trying to find a .xdf def file to use tune pro as i know that works well as i used it on my e3. Theres a bit kicking about on the net in the way of .bin files but its an .xdf im after really. i have found out tho recently that the nistune mapping software for there daughter bords also works with the ostrich so if andy the top man he is cant do anything with a deff file then ill just buy the nisstune software as this also supports aem wide bands, data loging and map tracing

Nistune is very good, but I've only had a quick play with it.

For the small initial cost, It's an absolute bargain.

Hopefully I'll be using it a bit more soon...

Right then i belive i have sorted as much as i can with the .xdf for my r32 skyline gtst. Basicly i have created my own .xdf in tune pro using the known address that i have found doing days and hours of searching and googleing and pulling my hair out, a bit more googleing, some guestimations and lots of trail and error :cursing: I had some .xdf files for other nissans and found that some of the addreses were the same most of the deffonitons were from the 300zx which uses quite a lot of the same addreses for various maps. The biggest problem i had was trying to sort out the conversion factors for the fuel maps as one part of the map worked with one conversion factor and the other half of the map was just not adding up. So i have basicly made a copy of the fuel map and used a different conversion factor for each map, this is an arsed about face way of doing things i know, but its the only way i can do it so that the maps are undastandable so i can see what to modify when it comes to remapping ill attach my .xdf and .bin for those with tune pro who might be interested to have a quick look and see what i mean.
Theres quite a few .xdfs for the s13 and s14 with the sr20det engine that are quite complete including launch control and anti lag maps with ignition retard on launch like what andy has done on the early evos, this is the next thing id like to do but the codes for the s13/s14 are nothing like mine and dont mach up in any way and thats one thing i would really like as i loved this on my evo but i am quite happy with my .xdf for now and should be ok to get a decent remap of the fuel and ignition tables
